This week we are reading words with the beginning sound of Qq (quilt, quack) and Yy (yak, yam , yes). Our two new sight words are where and come.   As always, watch your child's backpack for the weekly "Family Times."  This booklet summarizes the reading skills and topics we plan to introduce for the week.  There are also suggestions of activities that you can do with your child at home to reinforce the letter and sight words we are learning in class.

    If you have any extra sidewalk chalk and/or stickers at home and would like to donate them to the kindergarten class, the yard supervisors would especially be very thankful!  They have asked for donations of chalk and stickers to use outside when the kids are on the playground.  The chalk, of course, keeps our artists busy and the stickers are used as incentives for positive behavior on the yard.
